Job Summary
Sales Representative-
Develops new business through prospecting, networking, cold calling and servicing existing accounts.
Possess an understanding of stationery and office furniture
Meet sales target and profit goals
He / She travels to assigned locations to meet with potential and current customers, negotiating sales, marketing new products, updates and features.
Main Responsibilities:
- Function as a Certified Business Professional to liaise with existing and new customers: mainly Procurement Officers and Office Administrators by way of sales, collections, technical support and delivery follow up.
- Achieve sales targets set by Director
- Monitor market fluctuations and produce reports
- Working on the road to visit customer locations
- Will develop an effective sales activity pipeline of sufficient cold calls, referrals, lead qualification, sustainable relationships, acceptable order volume and product replacement opportunities.
- Proactively follow up on new leads and customers. Promptly follow up on marketing campaign or trade show leads. Qualify leads to determine project viability.
- Assist with accounts receivables
- Works with other members of the Sales Team to process / enter orders onto company's software system.
- Analyzing consumer behaviour and collaborating with the sales department to remain competitive
- Executes call or first contact strategy and establishes rapport or follow-up with prospects; schedules consultative meetings and presentations to obtain future business.
- Ability to generate new business opportunities as wells as increase sales through existing customers.
- Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Prepare responses for bid submissions, Requests for Proposals and Requests for Quotations.
Key Requirements:
- Three (3+) years’ previous experience in Sales and Marketing or a sucessaful track record working in a Sales Environment with measurable success.
- knowledge and experience in selling stationery and office furniture
- At least three (3) references
- BA/BS degree in Sales and Marketing preferred, but not mandatory
- Certification / Training in Sales and Marketing.
- Must own a vehicle
