CORE FUNCTION:
- To maintain mechanical and electrical systems on mobile port cranes and other container handling equipment (stackers, container handlers, terminal tractors, bomb carts and man lift)
- To ensure the deployment of equipment as per check out procedure
- To ensure that all equipment are maintained as per manufacturers specification
- To log all corrective and preventive actions executed on the various units.
- To maintain electrical circuits relating to lighting, air-conditioning units and stand-by generators for all equipment.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:-
a. SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Electrical and electronic control systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Engines preferably Cummins (QST30, QSM11, B5.9) and Perkins etc.
- Pneumatic systems
b. TRAINING:
- Electrical and electronics systems troubleshooting
- Industrial Engines, Hydraulic systems and Pneumatic systems
- Comprehension of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical control circuits
c. QUALIFICATIONS:
At least tertiary level (Diploma) education in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with strong electrical bias or equivalent is required
d. EXPERIENCE:
Ideally, a minimum of three (3) years industrial experience in industrial operating systems and maintenance especially with heavy-duty equipment systems is required.

PHYSICAL DEMAND:
- Ability to work comfortable at heights exceeding 40-50m or 120-170 feet.
- Requires the incumbent to move around the terminal by way of foot /service vehicle.
- Required to work in cramped spaces occasionally
