Basic outline
Trouble shooting of machinery, performing repairs, resolving mechanical, electrical and electronic breakdowns to minimize machine downtime. Performing planned and preventative maintenance adhering to the hightest engineering and health and safety standards including but not limited to:
Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance on machinery and basic diagnostics
Repair & Trouble shoot
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, and replace defective parts; resolve unexpected breakdowns; improve machine efficiencies
Calibration:
Calibrate and adjust machinery settings
Safety:
Ensure machinery is safe and efficient to operate, and conduct safety inspections
Record keeping:
Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs and prepare reports
Training:
Provide technical support and training to operators
Installation:
Assist in the installation of new machinery
Documentation:
Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Requirements
Certification / degree in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or similiar from a recognized institution
Minimum 4-5 years experience in electrical and mechanical competencies in a light manufacturing environment. Electronic competencies will be an asset.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work shift hours
