Cobblers Cove Hotel is seeking a dynamic and experienced Property Maintenance Manager to lead our Maintenance team, ensuring the optimal upkeep of all property, plant, and equipment at our luxury hotel. This role involves planning, directing, coordinating, and overseeing all maintenance operations to uphold the highest standards of guest comfort and facility excellence.
Some Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the execution of preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical systems, pool care, and equipment servicing, ensuring compliance with hotel standards and industry regulations.
- Supervise, support, and motivate the maintenance team to foster a positive, service-oriented work environment and uphold luxury hospitality standards.
- Manage daily staffing levels, assist with scheduling/rostering, and monitor attendance to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency.
- Participate in performance evaluations, maintain accurate staff performance records, and provide regular feedback and coaching in alignment with company policies and departmental goals.
- Collaborate with senior management to plan and execute scheduled maintenance activities, minimizing disruptions to hotel operations and the guest experience.
- Monitor inventory levels of tools, equipment, and supplies; request replenishments as necessary, and ensure proper use and safekeeping of all assets to prevent loss or damage.
- Ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues and promote high guest satisfaction through professional and courteous communication with guests and colleagues.
- Contribute to a safe working environment by identifying hazards, participating in routine inspections, enforcing safety procedures, and training staff on safe work practices.
- Maintain full awareness of emergency procedures and provide leadership during emergencies, ensuring maintenance operations align with safety and risk management protocols.
- Oversee and supervise special projects and hotel renovations, ensuring timely completion, and quality control.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field.
- Additional diploma or certification in Project Management, Property Management, Plumbing, Carpentry, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a similar role, including at least one (1) year in a management capacity.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Property Management Systems, and possesses strong basic computer and research skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including oral, written, and non-verbal communication.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a proven track record of team management, task delegation, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and delivering results in fast-paced environments.
- Strong time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Capable of making sound decisions under pressure and effectively managing high-stress situations.
