JOB SUMMARY:
The Jr Petroleum Engineer is responsible for all reporting, troubleshooting and analysis of wells,
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Analyse, interpret and optimize the performance of individual wells.
- Determine the most efficient means to maintain and enhance oil production including secondary and tertiary recovery methods where applicable.
- Make recommendation of wells for re-completion and abandonment.
- Work with Field Operation team on phases of drilling, completion, and workover operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparing Daily reports.
- Record keeping for Daily rig hours for fields
- Analyze production data and trends to recommend wells for WO or testing
- Updating monthly field factor sheet and sending info to team
- Perform well analysis by reviewing historical data, developing production trends, and recommending wells for optimization
- Coordinate with down hole pump supplier to ensure pump stock is well maintained for future intervention works and unplanned failures
- Investigate the root cause of well failures, production losses and providing feedback to the Management team to assist with production loss reporting
- Preparation of well intervention and swab programs
JOB SPECIFICATION
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from a recognized University
- Must be Computer Literate and familiar with Microsoft Suite of programs.

0 - 3 years of experience in oil, gas, or similar utility industry
