Our Client, Waterloo Investment Holdings Limited, is seeking to fill the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
This is a permanent position based in the Turks & Caicos Islands and is open to regional candidates.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief Financial Officer will provide strategic financial leadership across a diversified conglomerate with investments in real estate development, hospitality and financial services. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing the financial performance, investment strategy, risk management, and capital structure of the organisation. This role requires deep expertise in these relevant sectors, with a proven ability to manage multi-entity consolidation, and advanced proficiency in financial modelling to support data-driven decision-making, scenario analysis, and long-term value creation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial Strategy and Leadership
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the conglomerate’s long-term growth and investment objectives.
- Advise the CEO and Board on key financial decisions, capital allocation, and risk exposure.
- Oversee group-level budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across all subsidiaries.
- Hotel Sector Oversight
- Monitor financial performance of hotel operations, including revenue management, cost control, and ROI on capex projects.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, or franchise agreements in hospitality.
- Banking Sector Oversight
- Ensure regulatory compliance with financial sector authorities.
- Guide asset-liability management, capital adequacy, and risk-based pricing strategies.
- Lead treasury functions, liquidity management, and investment portfolio optimization.
- Risk Management and Compliance
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks across sectors.
- Implement robust internal controls and compliance programs for both banking and hotel operations.
- Liaise with auditors, regulators, and compliance officers.
- Financial Reporting and Governance
- Oversee timely and accurate financial reporting, including IFRS-compliant consolidated group financial statements.
- Ensure board reporting transparency.
- Present financial performance at board meetings.
- Capital Markets and Fundraising
- Develop and execute capital-raising strategies including debt structuring and investor negotiations.
- Maintain relationships with financial institutions, and joint venture development partners.
- Team Development and Leadership
- Lead and mentor finance teams across all group companies.
- Build high-performing finance departments with standardized processes and shared service models where feasible.
- Champion a culture of accountability, ethics, and performance excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- BSc in Finance, Accounting, or Economics or a professional accounting designation such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA.
- MBA or MSc in Finance.
- CPA, ACCA, or CFA designation.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- At least 5 years as CFO or senior finance executive in a real estate development, hospitality and/or banking organization.
- Demonstrated success managing finances for multi-sector businesses or investment holding companies.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Deep experience with financial modeling
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial consolidation software.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on operational capability.
