Human Resource Manager
Summary
The Human Resource Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Human Resource function to support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives. The goal is to promote corporate values and enable business success through human resource management, including job design, recruitment, performance management, talent management, change management, training and development.
Core Duties
- Provide support to the Chief People Officer in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing grievances or other issues
- Collaborate with leadership to align cultural initiatives with business objectives.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process
- Assist with change management within the organization
- Assist with HR risk management programs
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems and procedures across the organization
- Organize teambuilding activities, events and initiatives that foster a sense of community
- Monitor employees feedback mechanisms to assess cultural health of the Bank.
- Nurture a positive working environment
- Oversee and manage a performance management system that drives high performance
- Maintain compensation and benefits programs
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
- Policy and procedure development
- Monitors succession and career-path programs
Requirements
- BSc Degree in Human Resource Management/Development or related field.
- At least 8 years relevant work experience
- Industry related certification (SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential would be an asset.
- A Masters Degree would be an asset.
