The Regional Laundry Maintenance Technician is responsible for supervising and coordinating all preventive and corrective maintenance activities related to laundry in the hotels of the region. They work closely with the hotel's maintenance staff and management to ensure that all laundry operations run smoothly, ensure that all laundry machines and equipment are in perfect working order, minimize downtime, improve the efficiency and productivity of laundry operations.
Description of Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of laundry maintenance staff at different hotels in the region.
- Plan and execute the preventive and corrective actions necessary for the optimal performance of the laundry, as well as manage the required spare parts, materials and tools.
- Prepare and update technical reports, records and statistics of the laundry maintenance activity, as well as proposed improvements and solutions to the problems detected.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments and external suppliers to ensure the quality of the laundry service and customer satisfaction.
- Train and advise laundry maintenance personnel in the proper use, care and conservation of equipment and machinery, as well as in good environmental and energy saving practices.
- Carry out periodic inspections of the facilities, equipment and machinery of the laundry to ensure their correct operation and compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.
- Generate a list of maximum and minimum spare parts in each property in the region
Experience: Required:
- Have at least five years of experience in the industrial laundry sector, preferably in four- or five-star hotels.
- Have availability to travel around the region and meet the needs of the different hotels of the chain.
- Possess advanced knowledge of mechanics, electricity, electronics, and pneumatics applied to laundry equipment.
- Know how to diagnose and resolve breakdowns quickly and efficiently, minimising the impact on hotel operations
Desirable:
• Have experience with leading manufacturers in the sector.
Education & Certificates:
• Secondary education
• Certificate or verifiable experience as a technician in industrial laundry
