Key Insurance Company Limited invites applications from suitably qualified individuals for the following position:
Senior Underwriter
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for assessing client needs, evaluating risks, structure tailored insurance solutions, and ensure all underwriting transactions comply with internal standards and regulatory guidelines. The incumbent will also drive team performance, oversee quality control, and manage policy reviews, endorsements, and broker negotiations, while maintaining accurate client records and contributing to process and product improvements. Our ideal candidate is a dynamic and organized individual, with strong underwriting, communication, networking and relationship building skills. At minimum, applicants should possess the following:
- First Degree in Business Management or related field
- Motor and Property Salesman (technical training in all classes of business would be an asset)
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a general insurance environment
- FSC Registration in at least Motor and Property classes of insurance
- Supervisory experience
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to work as part of a team or individually
- Knowledge of 4d Underwriter software
- Good time management and the ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
- High level of confidentiality, honesty, integrity, creativity, persistence and achievement orientation
- Able to work on own initiative
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite [EXCEL, Word, PowerPoint etc.]
