CORE FUNCTION
To carry out general and specialized maintenance duties at our branch locations, ensuring all systems, fixtures, and structures remain in safe, working condition and align with company standards and regulatory compliance.
REPORTING AND ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Retail Operations Manager
Liaise with: Other Technical Personnel, Branch Managers and Supervisors, Facilities and Operations Teams
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES BY ROLE
Plumber
- Install, maintain, and repair water supply lines, drainage systems, and related fixtures.
- Troubleshoot leaks, clogs, or low-pressure issues.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify plumbing faults or maintenance needs.
- Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and safety standards.
- Provide cost estimates for plumbing-related materials and repairs.
Electrician
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, outlets, fixtures, and equipment.
- Conduct diagnostics and resolve power outages, short circuits, or malfunctioning components.
- Perform routine inspections and ensure systems are up to code.
- Assist with electrical upgrades or installations at new or existing facilities.
- Keep logs of all electrical maintenance and report potential hazards.
Carpenter
- Construct, install, repair, and maintain structures and fixtures including walls, doors, counters, and furniture.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans.
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials.
- Operate hand and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials.
- Conduct routine checks for damaged wooden structures and carry out timely repairs.
Handyman
- Perform a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks, including minor plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry work.
- Conduct preventive maintenance across multiple sites.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly.
- Assist in setting up equipment or furniture.
- Support in maintaining a clean and hazard-free work environment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience in the specific trade (Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, or General Maintenance).
- Certification or licensing in the respective field is an asset.
- Strong working knowledge of building systems, tools, and safety protocols.
- Ownership and operation of a reliable personal vehicle (mandatory).
REQUIRED SKILLS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow technical instructions, schematics, and safety protocols.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management and organizational ability.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be physically fit, able to lift heavy objects, and work in varying conditions (outdoors, confined spaces, elevated areas).
- Must be flexible with working hours, including weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable, fully functional personal vehicle.
- Willingness to travel to various locations (all Island) as required.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, cleanliness, and professionalism.
