The Zone Manager will be responsible for building amazing long-term customer relationships by creating and executing profitable win-win business propositions, thereby achieving set sales targets, is a crucial element of the role to drive long term value for both the customer and CB Group.

Main Function

The Zone Manager will be responsible for building amazing long-term customer relationships by creating and executing profitable win-win business propositions, thereby achieving set sales targets, is a crucial element of the role to drive long term value for both the customer and CB Group.

Requirements

  • Oversee trade channels covering mainly wholesalers and supermarkets in assigned zone
  • Execution of the annual Operational Plan, developing the assigned territory and grow the team of Sales Reps through close collaboration and daily coaching
  • Significant time “on the road”, visiting customers, doing market research and Sales Rep accompaniments, and collaborating with key stakeholders, thereby delivering against set targets (see KPI section)
  • Leverage accumulated competencies by participating in cross-functional insight development and commercial planning workshops, contributing expert customer and consumer knowledge to develop aligned commercial plans and sales driver activities
  • Provide regular updates to the Senior Manager - Sales
  • Identify growth opportunities within accounts and develop strategies to expand relationships
  • Handle customer escalations and resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitors, and best practices to identify risks and opportunities
  • Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time

Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, Experience 

  • BSc degree in Business Administration, Finance, or relevant field
  • At least five (5) years work experience as a Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or relevant role in FCMG
  • Intimate knowledge of down trade and supermarket channels
  • Strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
  • Proven track record of managing and growing Jamaican Trade channels, ideally with a leading food company
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building relationships
  • Competent in the use of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Competencies

  • Solid customer service attitude with good negotiation skills
  • An ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of sales funnels, and functions
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
