The tractor workshop supervisor oversees the efficient and safe maintenance and repairs of farm equipment by the tractor team.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supervises routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment & access to minimize downtime
  • Propose and implement workflow initiatives to improve the efficiency of fleet maintenance
  • Daily monitoring of service schedules and ensure adherence
  • Constantly improving departmental efficiency by utilizing specialized tools, software to combat issues and quick fixes across the fleet
  • Timely execution and prioritization of repairs, communicate effectively challenges faced and provide realistic timelines to manage the expectations of stakeholders
  • Directly managing and instructing equipment operators on proper techniques and equipment operations
  • Oversee housekeeping and availability of workshop tools and equipment
  • Assign tasks and directives to tractor workshop technicians and verify that the finished work complies with stipulated requirements
  • Recommends material needed for repair and maintenance work
  • Review maintenance records to ensure accurate information is compiled for reporting purposes
  • Ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations and standards
  • Any other related duties assigned

Education & Experience

  • Certification in Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Technology or a related field
  • Specialized training in automotive/agricultural/heavy equipment
  • Proven experience supervising a diverse team is preferred
