Wine Sommelier

We are seeking a passionate Sommelier to lead our wine program, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and drive beverage revenue. Responsible for wine selection, pairings, inventory control, and staff training in a luxury hospitality environment.

Position Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Sommelier to curate and elevate our wine program while delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role is responsible for wine selection, pairing recommendations, staff training, and maintaining high standards aligned with luxury hospitality service.

Key Responsibilities

• Curate, manage, and update the wine list in alignment with the concept and brand standards
• Provide expert wine recommendations and pairings to enhance the guest dining experience
• Ensure proper wine service, presentation, and storage (cellar management, temperature, rotation)
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing where applicable
• Conduct regular inventory control, cost management, and ordering of wines and beverages
• Train and mentor service staff on wine knowledge, upselling techniques, and service standards
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop pairing menus and special events
• Lead wine tastings, promotions, and guest engagement experiences
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
• Monitor trends and introduce new products to maintain a competitive offering

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sommelier or similar role in upscale or luxury hospitality
• Certification in wine (e.g., WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers) preferred
• Strong knowledge of international wines, regions, varietals, and pairings
• Excellent communication and guest service skills
• Ability to drive sales and enhance revenue through wine programs
• Strong organizational and inventory management skills
