Wine Sommelier

Issue, open, and serve wine/champagne bottles. Answer guest questions or concerns regarding the origin, vintage, and style of various wines. Update and maintain wine list and POS system. Pair and suggest wines that will best complement menu items. Attend wine tastings and develop relationships with

• Assisting colleagues with opening and closing procedures
• Visit tables and advise guests on wine choice and pairing.
• Assisting with non-service duties, including cellar maintenance, monthly stock taking and ensuring correctness of the wine list.
• Maintaining and developing knowledge of our wine list
• Developing the knowledge of the team
• Ensuring all standards and practices and upheld to the highest levels.
• Developing your own deeper understanding of wines, spirits, and other drinks from around the world
• Assist in other job roles as directed. This may include training new employees, helping with guest service, working on special projects, or filling in for absent managers.
