WEDDING PLANNER

The Resort Wedding Planner will be responsible for the sales, service, planning, organization, communication, and overall execution of all aspects of weddings. He or she will provide administrative support, including inventory management, drafting reports, proper handling of wedding documentation, maintaining a filing system, and departmental records. He or she will be an expert in analysing the needs and expectations of the client as well as have the ability to meet and exceed those needs and expectations.

Specific requirements/duties of the position include:

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong sales and management skills; ability to close sales and meet aggressive sales targets.
  • Strong organisational, planning, interpersonal, and communication skills are necessary.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Being a self-starter and able to work independently or as part of a cohesive team.
  • The ability to think clearly, multitask, analyse and resolve problems and complexities, while exercising good judgement.
  • The ability to interact with guests in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Spontaneous desire to assist others and provide excellent service.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ wedding/social event service management experience in a full-service, luxury hotel/resort operation and administrative experience.
  • College / University Degree
  • Diploma / Certification – Event Planning (preferred)
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be flexible and able to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. 
  • Excellent command of English: written and verbal.
