Effectively coordinate the overall wedding and events process from an enquiry through to the date of the event.

Wedding and Events Coordinator

Communicate and enforce hotel policies to prospective clients. This role includes strategic planning and managing the critical details of the wedding ceremony, Events or Functions. Establish business contacts to secure the participation of florists, musicians, photographers and other outside suppliers. Maintain and schedule of all activities ensuring that all departments are up to date.

Essentials Skills

  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written
  • Knowledge of your competitors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to maintain hotel standards, policies and procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Crisis management, resolving disputes quickly and fairly
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
  • Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays
  • Ability to motivate and work with staff from other departments
  • Must be focused and pay attention to details
  • Artistic and creative in décor planning and executing
  • Knowledge of menus offering and prices for private functions

 

Essential Job Functions.

  • Consultation and interviewing of Wedding and Events Party
  • Responsible for picture perfect wedding and reception
  • Responsible for the collection of proper wedding documents for marriage license
  • Schedule and confirmation of wedding/renewal of vows services
  • Compile wedding and events reports
  • Work closely with the Hotel’s Front Office/Food and Beverage/Reservations/Sales and Marketing/Maintenance especially when there is a private function.
  • Manage the wedding and events planning in collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Manager
  • Prepare all BEO in a timely manner and distribute to all department heads.
  • Ability to negotiate agreements with outside providers to ensure lowest cost and highest quality service.
  • Manage and build relationships so as to gain confidence and credibility with your clients
