We’re hiring a Website Administrator to independently build, maintain & optimise high-performance sites.

This role combines hands-on web development with ongoing site administration, performance monitoring, and advanced SEO implementation. You will own the full lifecycle of our web properties—ensuring fast, secure, accessible, and search-engine-dominant sites that drive traffic and conversions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop fully functional, responsive websites from design mockups or wireframes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or WordPress with custom themes/plugins).
  • Administer and maintain multiple websites: updates, backups, security patches, uptime monitoring, and server management (Linux/Apache/Nginx or cloud platforms like AWS, Vercel, Netlify).
  • Implement and manage advanced SEO strategies:
    • On-page SEO (meta tags, schema markup, content optimization, internal linking)
    • Technical SEO (Core Web Vitals, XML sitemaps, robots.txt, canonical tags, hreflang)
    • Site speed optimization (image compression, lazy loading, CDN, caching)
    • Mobile-first design and AMP where applicable
  • Perform SEO audits using tools like Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, or SEMrush.
  • Monitor analytics (Google Analytics 4, Search Console) and generate performance reports with actionable insights.
  • Ensure WCAG 2.1+ accessibility compliance and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Collaborate with content, marketing, and design teams to align web strategy with business goals.
  • Manage domain registrations, DNS, SSL certificates, and email hosting.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years building and launching custom websites independently (portfolio required).
  • Expert in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and at least one modern framework or CMS.
  • Proven SEO success: case studies showing ranking improvements, traffic growth, or conversion lifts.
  • Strong experience with technical SEO tools and Google Search Console / Analytics.
  • Proficient in server administration (LAMP/LEMP stack, SSH, cron jobs, backups).
  • Knowledge of web security best practices (OWASP, firewalls, malware scanning).
  • Familiar with version control (Git) and deployment workflows.
  • Bonus: Experience with headless CMS, JAMstack, or e-commerce (Shopify/WooCommerce)
