Reporting to the Wealth Manager, the incumbent is responsible for contributing to the profitable growth of the company’s overall financial and non-financial objectives.
Cumax Wealth Management Limited (a subsidiary of the Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League Limited) is seeking to recruit an experienced Wealth Advisor with a passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals and who possesses an unwavering commitment to excellence, to join its Wealth Management team.
The Role:
Reporting to the Wealth Manager, the incumbent is responsible for contributing to the profitable growth of the company’s overall financial and non-financial objectives. S/he will carry through the cycle of financial sales prospecting, processing and maintenance services of clients in achieving their financial objectives, and employing effective methods in order to develop and maintain relationship with clients. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Attend to the Company’s sales, marketing, and public relations activities, to meet its targets for profitability and market share.
- Aggressively market and sell the Company’s products and services
- Develop and execute agreed sales plans to achieve targets.
- Responsible for growing and deepening existing relationships through cross-selling and up-selling.
- Conduct presentations to prospective clients and groups and on-boards them as necessary; provide feedback to the Company on information gleaned from interacting with current and prospective clients.
- Negotiate possible solutions for clients based on the use of the organization’s products/services.
- Prepare financial plans and retirement projections including structuring portfolios or recommending specific securities based on the clients’ risk profile.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:-
- B.Sc. in Business Administration/Management Studies/Accounting or equivalent
- Licensed by the Financial Services Commission as a Dealer Rep or suitable candidate for licensing
- Three (3) years’ experience within a financial institution providing investment advice to clients and managing client relationships.
Knowledge, Skills, Competences and Personal Attributes:-
- Sound knowledge of financial sales prospecting, solicitation, interviewing and business development techniques.
- Proven track record of success with sale of financial products and consistently meeting sales target.
- Sound knowledge of investment portfolio construction and management.
- Knowledge of financial and client management software.
- Working knowledge of financial sector instruments, laws, regulations, ethics and professional jargon.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including ability to conduct persuasive presentations.
- Good networking and interpersonal skills.
Special Conditions Associated with the Job:-
- May be required to work beyond normal working hours
- Island-wide travelling is required to visit clients, make presentations, attend company events such as trade shows and industry and other related functions
- Must be the holder of a valid driver’s licence and the owner of a reliable motor vehicle
