General Description of the Role
The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for providing effective supervisory leadership and ensuring the smooth execution of daily operations within the Bonded and Excise Warehouses. This role plays a critical part in managing inventory all flow, including replenishment for both export and domestic markets, and overseeing the processing of product returns.
The role ensures that all finished goods are stored safely, efficiently, and accurately, in alignment with established performance metrics and customer expectations.
Operating Context
Campari’s business in Jamaica is an integrated operation, beginning with the production of the distillate, blending, bottling and ending with the sale and distribution of the finished product for local and export markets. This makes it one of the most diverse and complex entities within the Campari Group.
J. Wray & Nephew Ltd. sells its manufactured products to customers in Jamaica and overseas. The Finished Goods Warehouse has overall responsibility for managing the Finished Goods Inventory and Distribution to both Domestic and Export customers. The warehousing functions, supervised by the Team Leader under the guidance of the FG Warehouse Logistics Manager, controls all system, documentation, inventory management and distribution activities. The function has a significant impact on the profitability of the business in areas such as revenue, cost and customer satisfaction.
Mission – Objectives
The mission of the position is to effectively manage all warehousing processes and the finished goods inventory to support cost reduction in all areas of the Bonded and Excise Warehouse, minimize stock loss and inventory anomalies in addition to increasing customer satisfaction by ensuring on time deliveries and shipments.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy – Planning
- Contributes to the development of the Bond, Returns, Replenishment and Excise Team strategies and KPIs for all related activities in alignment with the overall Logistics Department strategies.
- Develops effective work processes to guide the proper and efficient functioning of the coordinators, specialists, the contractors, delivery and the inventory management operations.
- Prepares annual objectives and action plans for the Bond, Returns, Replenishment and Excise processes.
Logistics Operations
- Directs and supervises all inventory management processes – to include Replenishment and Returns, Stock Counts, FIFO, SLED, all FGW WM Processes Bond and Excise, Storage Policies and OTIF inbound postings.
- Plans and organizes workday to ensure all stock transfer activities are processed On Time and In Full with minimal avoidable losses and cost over runs.
- Ensure STO’s are created, routed, processed and posted based on the agreed metrics.
- Make sure team provides timely feedback to the Credit/Customer Service and /Commercial Team regarding replenishment, GBO’s and Credit Note challenges/issues.
- Applies a consistent and proactive approach for strengthening and maintaining the FGW Warehouse relationships with its Internal and External Customers.
- Develops and maintains relationships with Haulage Partners, Jamaica Customs Agency, 3rd Party Logistics provider and Tax Administration Jamaica - Excise to be able to leverage same when needed.
- Liaises with relevant departments on matters pertaining to adjustments to returns/credit notes, stock issues, GBO’s, and production schedules.
- Prepares reports of all FGW Logistics related activities for Bonded and Excise Warehouses,
- Identifies opportunities for cost reduction, improved efficiency and higher levels of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor Finish Goods stock levels to ensure adequate notice for re-order is given to the Planning Department to prevent potential stock out situations.
- Planning and executing random stock counts based on established guidelines and according to management’s request.
- Manages the inventory of pallets and slip-sheets ensuring that stock is always available for production and shipments.
Service Delivery
- Supports customer service activities including interface with production, regulatory and quality so that the company’s customer service creates a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
- Supports the development of service delivery systems and culture which is efficient and effective in addressing and resolving external and internal customer issues.
- Monitors the turnaround time, accuracy and efficiency of STO & Credit Note processing, communication with customers and management of Return and Replenishment activities in accordance with the department’s standards.
EHS Stewardship
- Observes and maintains strict adherence to established Quality, Health, Food Safety, Safety and Environmental policies and practices.
- Monitors the implementation and adherence to safety measures and programs in conjunction with the Quality, Food safety and EHS Teams and in keeping with the company’s policies.
People Leadership
- Drives the performance of the team by cascading the Logistics Departmental objectives, defining personal performance targets and appraising the performance of direct reports during and at the end of the performance management cycle.
- Builds the capacity of direct reports and the team through consistent performance feedback and coaching.
- Collaborates with the FG Warehouse Logistics Manager, other Team Leaders and the HR Business Partner to identify and implement learning and development initiatives to close competency gaps within the team.
- Provides leadership in the building of a culture within the department which exemplifies the “Campari Way” of doing business.

Compliance
- Tracks the compliance of the operations with relevant legal and statutory requirements and procedures.
- Monitors the establishment of efficient work processes and reviews these processes, as necessary, with a view to achieving continuous improvement.
- Supervises and assures statutory compliance for warehouse and distribution operations;

Required Education
- Undergraduate degree in Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain, Business Administration or equivalent
- Certification in Warehousing and/or Inventory Control
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role in a Logistics, distribution or manufacturing environment is preferred
