This position is responsible for the timely ordering and delivery of goods to the Distribution Service Centre Department and Stores Island wide. To manage inventory to reduce financial losses due to variance between the system and actual storage amount and write offs due slow movement or expiry.

Warehouse Supervisor will have a direct report in Montego Bay and would be required to travel to the site on occasions to provide support.

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s staff, employees, and business relationships

Responsibilities

  • Ensure plant safety programs are implemented as required in the warehouse
  • Hold all employees to high accountability to ensure persons perform as expected and that customer service surpass expectation.
  • Coordinate all activities of the warehouse to ensure 100% ontime shipment of good between 160, DSC and PSG stores.
  • Establish and maintain a process for the prompt communication to ensure speedy manufacturing and stocking of products that are out of stock.
  • Implement inventory management process to keep slow moving good <5% of overall inventory
  • Maximize inventory at offsite DSC’s to no less than 90% or capacity.
  • Ensure 4 Wall reports variances are corrected in a timely basis to keep variances low
  • Supervise the activities of employees engaged in receiving, delivery, storing and shipping products from Distribution Service Centre to ensure company’s policies are maintained.
  • Respond to customers’ or suppliers’ queries and complaints regarding storage and distribution services.
  • Keep abreast with delivery related complaints, stock requirements from Production Department, off-site Distribution Service Centers and Sales Department.
  • Organize and coordinate annual FG inventory count.
  • Prepare and present timely monthly reports on the operations of all the Distribution Service Centers.
  • Supervise daily activities and timely monthly closing – off exercise and ensure dispatching of documents to relevant department.
  • Co-ordinate with Distribution/Delivery Personnel on preparation of replenishing stocks, priorities, and specials for and to attend production meetings.
  • Liaise with Sales Manager in preparation of weekly/monthly forecast.
  • Ensure maintenance of item numbers for all SKUs.
  • To ensure compliance and maintenance of all relevant company and ISO 9001 and 14001 documents, records, procedures and standard.
  • To co-ordinate stock requirements with Distribution Personnel, Delivery Office, Sales, Stacote and Production and to follow up.
  • To assist and co-ordinate with Sales on requirements, ordering and receipts of associated products.
  • Ensure that audit trails and verification are done on a regular basis to facilitate smooth monthly cut-off
  • Conduct performance appraisals as required by HR Cloud
  • Ensure the timely opening and closing of warehouse.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future

  • Must have at least two (2) years of work experience in a manufacturing, distribution, operations function or have you completed a Sherwin-Williams Development Program in an Operations function

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Have at least an associate's degree or higher
  • Have at least one (5) year of experience in leadership role(s), supervising others, or leading teams
  • Have at least completed formal training in and/or do you have at least one (1) year of work experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.
  • Have at least Prior work experience using timekeeping and/or production control systems
  • Have at least a Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.)
