WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

Continental Baking Company Limited is seeking to recruit a Warehouse Supervisor who will be responsible for the management of warehouse operations. The ideal candidate plays a critical role in implementing and maintaining best practices, standards and policies, as it relates to supply chain management, distribution, customer relationship management and product quality preservation.

Core Functions

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, to include activities and its staff; measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance.
• Ensure that the inventory is managed in accordance with First in First Out (FIFO) accounting principle; perform daily reconciliation of the inventory.
• Manage inventory accuracy through monitoring of daily warehouse activities, cycle count, stock takes and audit of same to verify results.
• Maintain adequate inventory levels at all times, to meet requirements of the sales team and customers.
• Collaborate with the sales team, to analyze and understand the customer base and their requirement, ensuring that established product requirements are always met and available.
• Manage, organize and maintain warehouse area, to optimize workflows, layout efficiency and warehouse space.
• Ensure full adherence to and compliance with all safety (food and physical), quality, environmental, regulatory standards and protocols.

Minimum Requirement: Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar position; experience with food and/or retail goods would be an asset.
• Excellent human relations, communication, time management, organizational, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in computerized systems, warehouse/inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Oracle would be an asset.
• PMP or Supply Chain certification would be an asset.
• Highly professional, ethical and of integrity.
• Required to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays, to meet operational demands.
