We’re expanding our local Supply Chain Management team and are currently hiring for the position of Warehouse Supervisor. This role will support operations at our Old Harbour Plant (OHP), and Montego Bay Terminal.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role is responsible for managing inventory and material handling operations in Jamaica. This role ensures accurate stock control, proper storage, timely issuance and receipt of materials, and adherence to corporate inventory procedures to support vessel and terminal operations. The Warehouse Supervisor works in close coordination with the Logistics and Procurement teams to align material availability with delivery schedules and operational demands. 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Overseeing daily inventory operations across all Jamaica-based facilities, ensuring accurate receipt, storage, and issuance of materials and spare parts.
  • Maintaining up-to-date inventory records in the ERP system, ensuring traceability and data integrity.
  • Conducting regular cycle counts and full physical inventory checks, reconciling discrepancies and reporting results.
  • Coordinating with Logistics and Procurement teams to align warehouse activities with inbound deliveries and operational requirements.
  • Raising purchase requests (PRs) for materials based on inventory levels, operational needs, or approved requisitions.
  • Ensuring proper storage, labeling, and handling of materials, including segregation of critical, hazardous, or sensitive items.
  • Issuing materials based on approved work orders or requests, ensuring documentation is properly recorded and reconciled.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation related to warehouse transactions, goods movements, and internal controls.
  • Supporting the development and continuous improvement of local warehouse SOPs and work practices, and educating internal stakeholders on proper inventory handling, documentation, and storage procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in inventory management, warehousing, or materials handling is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for inventory reporting and data analysis.
  • Experience with inventory or warehouse management modules within an ERP system.
  • Understanding of reverse logistics procedures and stock rotation practices.
  • Familiarity with inventory classification, shelf-life tracking, and hazardous materials handling standards.
  • Strong documentation, organization, and record-keeping skills for audit and compliance readiness.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles, materials classification, and stock reconciliation processes.
  • Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental practices applicable to warehouse operations.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehouse or inventory control role, preferably in a technical, maritime, or energy sector environment.
  • Innate ability to identify issues and craft effective solutions quickly.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams, showcasing leadership qualities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Exemplary interpersonal aptitudes, with a talent for building and nurturing relationships at all organizational levels.
  • An inherent team spirit and a deep-rooted customer service orientation, highlighting the ability to work collaboratively and address customer needs.
