The Company owns two distilleries: New Yarmouth Estate in Clarendon and Appleton Estate in St Elizabeth. Both distilleries account for approximately two-thirds of all spirits produced in Jamaica.

Who We Are Looking For…/ How Will You Make an Impact…

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Specialist to oversee the Point of Sale (POS) warehouse operations. The warehouse specialist will be responsible for the daily operational activities of the POS warehouses to ensure efficient processes and to maximize warehouse productivity. The warehouse specialist responsibilities include supervising contractors, coordinating receival and dispatch processes, ensuring the quality and maintenance of re-usable POSM is kept at a high standard, preparing delivery slip documentation and experience in optimizing warehousing processes. The candidate should be an effective team leader, that is dependable and has excellent organizational and time management skills.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

  • Supervise warehouse staff and the daily warehouse activities.
  • Organize new item receipt and storage of POS inventory according to the standard operational procedures and updating SAP within the established timeline.
  • Coordinate picking and documentation processing of third party distributor orders which includes weighing, measuring, packaging and labelling as per country and organize transfers to excise loading bay.
  • Prepare, check, and verify delivery slip for POSM ordered by internal and external stakeholders, while monitoring the picking process to ensure pick-jobs are executed accurately and within the prescribed time frame.
  • Inspect and check re-usable POSM returns for defects and damages.
  • Submit report of damages for receipts and return of re-usable POSM to the POS Manager.
  • Conduct monthly inventory count and submit reports for auditing of domestic and export warehouses.
  • Adhere to all JWN Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) best practices and policies.
  • Supervise and monitor cleaning of the warehouse space.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by the POS Manager.

Experience & Education

  • A minimum of three (3) years working experience within a warehouse environment.

 Education / Professional Qualifications

  • BSc. degree in Management/Business Studies or related degree (Preferred)
  • Proficient in SAP or other ERP System
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Certification to operate Machine Handling Equipment (Preferred)

Skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across all levels within the organization.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Team oriented with organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of JWN brands and promotional knowledge.
  • Physically able to lift at least 40 pounds or move heavy products.

Working Conditions

  • Work is carried out in a warehouse environment.
  • Require the use of safety equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to safety glasses/goggles, gloves, safety boots/shoes.
  • Occasional periods of working extended hours including weekends and holiday
