he Warehouse Quality Assurance Manager will initiate, implement and enforce Quality Control and Food Safety programs.

 

The Warehouse Quality Assurance Manager will initiate, implement and enforce Quality Control and Food Safety programs for maintaining best quality and safe food product by managing resources, quality, and food safety activities in the warehouse operations. He or She will execute inventory control and implement processes that will further enhance the warehouse logistic, maximizing operational efficiencies and profitability.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3-4 years in a similar capacity in food safety, quality/ inventory control and the warehouse industry
  • Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards
  • Excellent numerical skills and understanding data analysis and statistical methods
  •  Experience in a HACCP, QA or food safety supervisory role
  • General knowledge in food production, warehouse, purchasing, logistics, Occupational Health and Safety
  • Knowledgeable in Navision Process. 
  • Second language (Spanish) is mandatory
  • Third language is an asset
  • Knowledgeable in Earth Check Cerification and process

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain HACCP Program for value-added products
  • Analyze, evaluate and present information on Food Safety programs
  • Review technical procedures, identify problems, and recommend solutions in the areas of quality control and food safety to management
  • Establish quality control processes and procedures for evaluating and receiving food components from suppliers
  • Responsible for training and development of staff to assume leadership.  Ensure that all product files are kept up to date on each product and programs.
  • Initiate cost reduction ideas, researching and correcting picking errors
  • Perform product inspections of all inbound receiving goods, and the quality assurance of the outbound goods into the hotel operation.
  • Management of warehouse inventories (Considering FIFO and quality aspects) in order to ensure the proper rotation of the fruits, vegetables and dry goods.
  • Achieve the functions and responsibilities of his or her position in relation to the environmental and social sustainability program.
  • Achieve the requirements, functions, and responsibilities of his or her position concerning food safety and water safety (SASH)

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Warehouse Management Logistics /Associate Degree in Food Science and Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience inventory control, food safety, warehouse industry in the capacity of a Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Executive Certification in Warehouse and Inventory Management would be an asset
