Warehouse Operations Supervisor

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor will report directly to the Managing Director by ensuring the optimal performance of the warehouse operations and its warehouse team.

ü  Superb team-building, interpersonal and leadership skills that can strongly delegate, manage, supervise and reprimand when necessary

ü  Able to complete physical tasks (training teams and other physical demands of the job)

ü  Numeracy and communication Skills

ü  Keen attention to details

ü  Knowledge of warehouse operations and implementation methods for the effective running of a warehouse e.g. storage systems, FIFO Methods, Bad-Goods System etc.

ü  Strong leadership skills that can coach, provide effective feedback, reprimands, training and driving of effective performance

Key Duties:

• Overseeing and managing the warehouse team, the warehouse operations assistant and by extension their sub-team
• Managing the full-scale warehouse operations cycle including FIFO System, Storage System, Pick-ticket system among other optimal warehouse processes
• Applying disciplinary procedures, sanctions, rewards & recognition, reports, payroll and overtime submissions, leave management and other administrative duties for the warehouse department
• Required to perform and execute training programmes to equip warehouse staff to perform to their optimal potential/capacity
• Monitor the performance of the Warehouse staff (including write-ups, reprimands, duty overseeing and scheduling for duties
• Execution of Warehouse protocols such as section assignments, duty assignments and pick-ticket completion auditing time

Job Specification and Qualification:

• Experience as an effective warehouse/production/factory Supervisor up to a degree in a related field

• Proven experience of successfully managing the operations of a factory, warehouse, production house or group of line staff
• Has experience in the retail, distribution, manufacturing, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
• Able to do physical/manual work that the operation demands especially in demonstrating to and assisting their team
