Active Home Centre, Jamaica’s leading retailer for Home Finishing Products with showrooms in Kingston & Montego Bay, selling a wide range of tiles, plumbing supplies, kitchen, appliance roofing, furniture and Lighting is seeking experienced candidates to join our team.

 

WAREHOUSE MANAGER - KINGSTON

 

The successful candidate will work in conjunction with management team to strategically plan, direct and coordinate the daily operations and administration functions of the Warehouse to achieve the department’s objectives.

 

Key duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manage and lead the activities of the Warehouse operations in receiving, storing and distribution of products.
  • Provide input daily to ensure sufficient manpower and needed resources are in place to adequately satisfy delivery demands.
  • Maintain warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics, sales, order management and inventory.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall warehouse performance.
  • Provide support in developing and implementing strategic operation plans and processes to ensure adequate product availability and service levels.

 

Qualification & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management/ Business Administration or any other related Discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in warehouse management in a retail environment would be an asset
  • Excellent human relations, time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer oriented working environment.
  • Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively in a fast paced environment whilst ensuring quality output.
  • Skills in MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Successful and demonstrative track record in this capacity.
