The Warehouse Manager will have overall responsibility for the management of the day-to-day operations and optimization of the warehouse, as well as the ongoing development of a medium-sized, diverse team. This is a hands-on position with an emphasis on attention to detail.

This is a hands-on position with an emphasis on attention to detail. Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures
- Ensure that the FIFO system operates with all goods and products
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
- Monitor the receipt of incoming goods and ensure that the quantity and quality of the incoming goods are accurate and of the highest quality
- Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; and reconciling with the data storage system
- Knowledgeable in the use of software systems for warehouse and inventory management
- Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair, and requisitions for replacement
- Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
- Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
- Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
- Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output - optimization.
- Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures
- Ensure containers are off-loaded within the specified time to eliminate or reduce demurrage/detention
Key Competencies & Requirements
- BSc in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business
- Five (5) years’ experience in a management role
- Excellent leadership skills
- Proficient in the use of computer & software applications
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving ability
- Excellent project management skills
- Flexible in accommodating extended working hours
- Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
