This role ensures optimal inventory control, compliance with safety standards, cost efficiency, and high service levels across internal and external stakeholders.
Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and dispatch.
Ensure optimal warehouse layout, space utilization, and workflow efficiency.
Implement and maintain SOPs for warehousing, inventory management, and distribution processes.
Ensure accurate stock records and conduct regular cycle counts and stock audits.
Plan and manage distribution schedules to ensure on-time and in-full (OTIF) delivery to customers and internal locations.
Coordinate with transport providers and internal teams to optimize routes, loads, and delivery costs.
Monitor delivery performance, resolve service issues, and drive continuous improvement.
Maintain optimal inventory levels to support business needs while minimizing holding and obsolescence costs.
Investigate and resolve stock variances, damages, and losses.
Develop and manage the warehouse and distribution budget, controlling labor, transport, and operational costs.
Lead, coach, and develop warehouse and distribution teams, including supervisors, clerks, and operators.
Manage workforce planning, performance management, training, and disciplinary processes.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with all occupational health & safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Lead safety audits, risk assessments, and corrective action plans.
Ensure proper handling and storage of goods, including hazardous or temperature-controlled items where applicable.
Track and report on KPIs such as OTIF delivery, inventory accuracy, picking accuracy, productivity, shrinkage, and cost per unit.
Lead Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.
Support system enhancements such as WMS, ERP, or process digitization initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
5–8 years’ experience in warehouse and distribution operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and logistics best practices.
Proven experience managing large teams and multi-shift operations.
