Warehouse Attendant

Assist the Warehouse Supervisor in the undertaking of all stock keeping and inventory controlling functions in the warehouse.

Job Overview

Assist the Warehouse Supervisor in the undertaking of all stock keeping and inventory controlling functions in the warehouse including but not limited to receiving, issuing, record keeping, counting, handling, moving, picking, assembling, relocating and monitoring items of inventory in the warehouse.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Ensure tidiness/ cleanliness of all warehousing areas.
• Utilizing the forklift, lift truck or walkie stacker machine to arrange stock items of raw, pack and finished product items in an orderly manner to enable accurate stock keeping
• Unload or offloading utilizing the forklift, lift truck or walkie stacker machine, of all deliveries upon receival and on advice from the Warehouse Supervisor and arranging these items as directed in the assigned areas in the warehouse.
• Liaise with Warehouse Supervisor and Supply Chain & Logistics Manager for orders for picking in preparation for delivery.
• Provide information on timely physical counts for inventory items when requested.
• Physically check and inspect incoming goods upon receival
• Palletization of finished goods for export; promoting efficient storage, handling and transportation.
• Pick and pack raw and packaging materials for Production as per Material Requisition
• Off-loading of Containers from the Wharf including completion of 7 Point Inspection Sheet
• Any other duties assigned

Qualifications

• Education level: 5 subjects at the secondary level – CXC’s, CAPE, CSEC – must include Mathematics, English Language
• – At least 1+ years’ experience in a similar post, preferably in a food processing environment
• Knowledge of Authorized Economic Operators (AEO) policies and procedures

• Valid driver’s license and access to transportation
