Warehouse Attendant

The Warehouse Attendant will support the Inventory Controller/Warehouse Supervisor with the receival and dispatching of materials.

Location: Oak Estate, Municipal Blvd, Portmore, St. Catherine

Salary: $4,000 per day + lunch. Paid fortnightly.

Working Days: Mondays to Fridays (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) + half-day Saturdays every other week

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Receive material request document then pick and pack items corresponding to the document
• Meet the specifications of material request documents in an accurate and timely manner
• Organize items in the warehouse as directed
• Load and offload items from delivery trucks
• Assist with the offloading of containers
• Perform routine cycle counts and stock counts
• Monitor stock levels and report any item that is low in stock to the Warehouse Supervisor
• Follow the company’s standard operating procedures when carrying out duties
• Carry out duties in a careful manner ensuring a great level of care and safety towards oneself and others
• Follow established safety guidelines and procedures. This includes the wearing of basic safety gears while on site. At a minimum, this includes a steel-toe work boot, high visibility safety vest and Hard Protective Helmet. Other safety items such as gloves, backstraps and any other safety item provided must be used when carrying out duties.
• Ensure Warehouse is always kept clean
• Meet monthly targets set by Department
• Any other related duties that are assigned 

Required Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma
• At least 1 year Inventory/warehouse experience
• Good physical health
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task to meet timelines
