Warehouse Associate

Organize warehouse stock, load/deliver goods, mix chemicals, verify invoices/orders, handle returns/payments, maintain vehicles, report incidents, assist with labeling, stocking, and inventory tasks.

Job Description

Position:                           General Warehouse Associate

Supervises:                     N/A

Reports to:                      Warehouse Manager

The Principal Functions of the Position shall be to:

1.       Arrange, organize, and maintain stock within the warehouse as directed by the Warehouse Manager
2.       Locate and load warehouse items onto vehicles for delivery to customers.
3.       Conduct the mixing of Chemicals as directed by the Warehouse Manager.
4.       Ensure that goods loaded for delivery correlate to the information on the invoices to ensure no shortages or overages are in your possession.
5.       Ensure that all invoices are properly signed by the Warehouse Manager, Courier upon delivery, by the customer who receives the goods.
6.       Ensure that all necessary Purchase Orders are attached to the relevant invoices.
7.       Ensuring all returns are clearly identified and submitted to the Warehouse manager along with the relevant documentation.
8.       Ensure that all cash and cheques collected are submitted to the Finance Department on return to the office. Receipt books are to be used when collecting funds without an invoice.
9.       Perform basic checks on vehicle brakes, controls, fuel content, etc. daily before leaving the company’s compound. Ensure that assigned vehicles are washed and cleaned (both interior and exterior) as required.
10.   Perform deliveries to customers as directed from time to time.
11.   Immediately report any injuries/near misses and/or accidents while on duty.
12.   Assist with the labeling of fire extinguisher units.
13.   Assist with the unloading of containers and packing away of stock.
14.   Assist with the decanting of chemicals and labeling of the product as it is decanted.
15.   Assist in the stocking of the showroom as instructed.
16.   Participates in the conduct of stock counts and ensures the accuracy of the information provided.
17.   Any other functions that are related to the duties.
