Warehouse Assistant / Heavy T Driver

The Warehouse Assistant / Courier is responsible for assisting with selected warehouse duties on the days of work.

THIS POSITION IS OPEN ONLY TO NATIONALS OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO AND THOSE HOLDING VALID AUTHORIZATION TO WORK IN THE COUNTRY AND LIVING IN THE COUNTRY AT THE PRESENT TIME. 

WE ARE SEEKING A WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT / HEAVY T DRIVER  OUR CLIENT LOCATED IN MORVANT.

RATE:  $5,000 - $6,000 per month, based on experience and qualification.

REQUIRED:

MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE

VALID DRIVER'S PERMIT

DEFENSIVE DRIVING CERTIFICATE AN ASSET

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reading and interpreting customer invoices, sales and purchase orders to determine items to be picked,
packed and assembled in hold goods area, communicating with relevant sales representatives about
queries.

Assisting in off loading LCL (less than a container load), opening shipment and receiving against
customer’s invoice and NCPL purchase order, for quantities ordered and shipped within 2 days.

Assisting in opening and off loading FCL (full container load), storing items securely and checking off
against packing list and NCPL purchase order, for quantities ordered and shipped within 5 days. Overtime
maybe required in clearing containers from time to time.

Thoroughly inspecting all incoming goods for shortages and damages, immediately informing the
Procurement & Inventory Supervisor for reporting and rotating of all incoming goods.

Move materials, goods and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas
by Forklift, heavy T truck, hand or with pallet jack, storing items in an orderly and accessible manner.

Assisting with loading and off-loading of delivery trucks, securing items for delivery to customers are in a
suitable condition.

Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, promptly reporting to management.

Participating with daily count activities, labelling and acquiring working knowledge of all the company’s
products.

Exercise proper custodial care of every aspect of the warehouse, ensuring the warehouse is secured upon
closing time and for all company vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are safe and in proper condition.

Ensuring warehouse and the surroundings areas are kept clean, organized and safe at all times. This
includes and is not limited to sweeping, trash disposal (inside and outside of the warehouse).

Understanding the requirements of warehouse operating procedures and workplace instructions, ensuring
work assignments are of the highest quality.

Ensure parking arrangements for customers and staff are followed at all times, as required by
management.

Ensuring the company’s health and safety standards are rigorously followed, including any additional
requirements that may be stipulated for various tasks or projects, as well as proper use of all PPE when
required, following compliance to OSHA and the company’s health and safety policy.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of three (3) CXC subjects including Mathematics and English
Minimum of two (2) years warehouse experience
Minimum of six (6) months of material handling and stocking experience
Full driver’s license, Heavy-T license and good driving record
Proven experience as Forklift Operator
