Position: Waitress

Reports to: Front-end Supervisor

Summary: The Waitress – reports directly to Front-end Supervisor. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, take and deliver orders accurately, and ensure guests have a memorable dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed information about menu items, specials, and promotions.

• Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the point-of-sale (POS) system.

• Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring orders are correct and presented professionally.

• Check on guests during their meals to ensure satisfaction and address any requests or concerns.

• Process payments efficiently and thank guests for dining with us.

• Set up and clean tables before and after guests, ensuring the dining area is tidy and well-maintained.

• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.

• Collaborate with the kitchen and other staff to ensure timely service.

• Handle customer complaints or issues courteously and escalate them to the supervisor or manager if necessary.

• Stay informed about menu changes, daily specials, and any restaurant policies or procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Attention to detail to ensure orders are accurate and service is seamless.

• Basic math skills to handle payments and process transactions accurately.

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is a plus.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

• Previous experience as a waitress or in a similar customer-facing role is an advantage.

• Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant operations is beneficial.

• Food Handlers Permit is a must
