The Warehouse & Customer Coordinator is a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the branch by performing a blend of administrative, sales, and stock-related tasks.

 

PURPOSE:  This role ensures merchandise is properly managed on and off the sales floor, supports accurate inventory control, and provides backup coverage in customer-facing roles when needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and customer-focused.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES:

Product Handling & Merchandising:                                                                                                                

  • Assist with receiving and offloading trucks, ensuring all items are checked and accounted for.
  • Move merchandise on and off the sales floor in line with store layout and promotional activity.
  • Test electronics and appliances before display to ensure functionality.
  • Tag, price, and display items according to visual merchandising standards.
  • Responsible for assembly and setup of ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture and equipment on the sales floor, ensuring proper installation and presentation.

 

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain and organize branch filing systems, including inventory records and customer documentation.
  • Prepare and process administrative paperwork related to stock movement, transfers, and deliveries.
  • Support managers with reporting, stock reconciliation, and daily operational tasks.

 

Sales & Customer Service Support:

  • Serve as a relief sales representative or cashier during busy periods or in the absence of core staff.
  • Assist customers on the sales floor with product queries and sales transactions.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism at all times.

 

Inventory & Stock Management:

  • Assist with stock counts, inventory audits, and reconciling physical stock against records.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify damaged or missing items.
  • Ensure storeroom and sales floor stock are well organized and compliant with safety guidelines.

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) CSEC subjects, including Mathematics and English Language.
  • Certification in Office Administration, Retail Operations, or a related field from a recognized institution such as HEART/NSTA Trust is an asset.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a retail, warehouse, or administrative support role.
  • Familiarity with furniture, appliances, and electronics is a strong advantage.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Physically capable of lifting, moving, and offloading heavy to moderately heavy items.
  • A team-oriented individual with a positive, flexible, and proactive attitude.
