The Warehouse Attendant Level 1 reports to the Warehouse Supervisor. The holder of this Job is required to carry out machine operational job, handheld scanner (RF) device operations and quality monitoring system job according to the quality standards and operational instructions of the company.
General
The holder of this job must be compliant to all safety requirements and use the necessary PPE in carrying out their job functions.
Perform duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, relevant GMP’s, QMS and Good Warehousing Practices as it relates to this job function.
Key Responsibilities
● Packs goods in standardized manner on pallets in warehouse (dry, cold & temperature controlled areas).
● Repackage and repack damaged goods on pallets in warehouse (dry, cold & temperature controlled areas).
● Use handheld device to pick goods from bins inside warehouse (dry, cold & temperature controlled areas) for delivery to customers.
● Picks and packs goods on pallets for delivery to customers.
● Remove returned items from the loading dock / aisle back to default bins and update movement in handheld device.
● Repair damaged products in bins ensuring products are fit for dispatch to customer.
● Organize products in bins by levelling down to allow ease of count and picking activities.
● Remove debris from bins to ensure bins are neat and clean as per quality standards.
● Operate motorized equipment in carrying out daily activities.
● Use motorized equipment to load trucks for dispatch.
● Ensure Good warehousing practices are maintained in the warehouse.
● Participates in stock count activities in the warehouse (dry, cold & temperature controlled areas) as needed.
● Carries out any other duties requested by the company from time to time to in order to meet its objective.
Required Skills
● Secondary school leaving certificate / four (4) subjects.
● Physical and mental capacity to carry out job requirements.
● Food distribution experience strongly preferred.
● Knowledge of Bureau of Standards regulations, HACCP and AEO is an asset.
● Ability to work nights, weekends and public holidays as required.
● Knowledge of relevant operating procedures to carry out job function.
● Adequate job training to operate relevant equipment.
