Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement portfolio-wide and location-specific strategies that ensure consistent high-quality facilities services to the resort and outlying assets.
  • Champion the mission, vision, and values, and instill a customer service focus within the facilities and maintenance teams.
  • Function as the subject matter expert on facilities processes, procedural best practices, optimal staffing levels, local reporting structures and performance standards.
  • Implement materials management approaches that optimize warehousing, inventory tracking, and stock levels.
  • Drive operational consistency across locations through the development, implementation, and refinement of standard operating procedures.
  • In conjunction with Vice Presidents of Engineering lead the professional development of the maintenance teams, oversee technical training, and ensure all team members have the requisite skillset to perform their jobs.
  • Lead the analysis of facilities operations and maintenance data, such as performance, expense, and customer satisfaction, to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Ensures life safety systems are maintained in accordance with all regulatory agencies.
  • Provide audit oversight of the facilities operations including and not limited to the RO Plant, and support supplying executive leadership with a comprehensive annual review of performance and ongoing evaluation of key performance indicators.
  • As necessary, develop corrective action plans that promptly address any service delivery pain points, inefficiencies, or unmet business needs.
  • Create accountability and ownership among team members through communication of clear expectations, supervision, and provision of timely performance feedback in support of the resorts guest satisfaction goals.
  • Model the highest standards of business professionalism; lead the training and development of team members through coaching, motivating, and mentoring on company culture, business goals, financial management, and sound business judgment.
  • Develop KPIs and manage a centralized dashboard that provides leadership with timely data to make informed decisions.
  • Always display the highest standards of customer service, welcoming customers in a polite, gracious and enthusiastic manner; paying attention at all times; anticipating and meeting their needs.
  • Respond quickly and positively to guests' questions, requests, problems, and complaints and resolves them effectively and consistently.
  • Maintain overall knowledge of the resort and provide proactive assistance to customers when appropriate using clear and concise conversation.
  • Follows and enforces health, welfare, and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all guests and fellow team members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • 10 + years' progressive experience leading facilities or plant operations and maintenance in large, highly complex environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction technology or commensurate experience.
  • Demonstrable ability to translate strategic vision into actionable programs and approaches that enable and motivate others to achieve operational excellence.
  • Ability to provide elevated level of maintenance services for to geographically disparate operating teams.
  • Proven ability to develop operating budgets.
  • Proven ability to drive large, complex change efforts through effective coaching and mentoring.
  • Proven ability to develop, inspire, and lead high-performing and high-impact teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of the structural, electrical, and mechanical systems and components of buildings; strongly prefer knowledge that spans different asset types and classes.
  • Demonstrable understanding of asset management concepts such as preventative, predictive, and planned maintenance programs, as well as capital planning.
  • Computer proficiency, including working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Exposure to unionized environment.
  • Experience with self-generation of utilities.
  • Experience and success with retrofitting older facilities.
