Qualifications and Experience

  • Associate degree in Management Studies, Marketing or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
  • FLMI or equivalent professional designation will be an asset
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership or management position
  • Experience in Life Insurance Sales will be an asset

Specialized Skills and Techniques

 

  • Strong knowledge of life insurance and related products
  • Excellent communication, coaching and team building skills
  • Goal-orientated mindset with a commitment to professional integrity and service excellence

Key Responsibilities

As a Unit Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping a motivated, professional, and results-driven sales team.  Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and Inspire: Provide strong leadership to ensure team members fully understand our products, services, business practices, sales targets, and service standards.
  • Drive Results: Ensure the team consistently achieves activity targets as outlined in the Company’s strategic plan.
  • Grow the Team:  Support the growth of the organization by achieving recruiting targets and overseeing the development and onboarding of new Sales Agents.
  • Coach for Success: Deliver continuous coaching skills training, and mentorship to support agents’ professional development and sales performance.
  • Performance Management: Set clear KPIs, monitor performance and complete all required performance reports and improvement plan.  Provide timely, constructive feedback to encourage accountability and excellence.
