JOB DESCRIPTION

TYRE TECHNICIAN

The Tyre Technicians repairs and install Tyres on cars, trucks, and heavy vehicles. The duties of a Tyre Technician include installing, balancing, and repairing Tyres for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. 

Tyre Technician Responsibilities:

  • Talking to the customer about any issues they are experiencing.
  • Inspecting and assessing Tyre tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality, and overall health.
  • Recommending appropriate repair treatment or replacement of Tyres.
  • Repairing punctures and replacing faulty valves.
  • Installing new Tyres
  • Balancing Tyres and completing wheel alignment procedures.
  • Retreading Tyres for tractors and other off-road vehicles.
  • Conducting inventory and maintaining equipment.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned within the scope of the job which include keeping your work environment clean of debris and well maintained.

Tyre Technician Requirements:

  • High school diploma.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proven work experience as a Tyre Technician.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Extensive knowledge of Tyre patterns and material composition.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Ability to work in a crouched or standing position for extended periods.
