Our client is a niche player in the Food & Beverages Distribution sector in Barbados who specialize in promoting products sourced from Europe. They are seeking to add a skilled and experienced Truck / Forklift Operator to join their team.
Overview: Our client is a niche player in the Food & Beverages Distribution sector in Barbados who specialize in promoting products sourced from Europe. With a strong track record of placing brands at Retail outlets, they are seeking to add a skilled and experienced Truck / Forklift Operator to join their team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain trucks and forklifts in a safe and efficient manner.
- Transport goods and materials to and from specified locations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and other equipment.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
- Ensure compliance with all traffic and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
- Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals.
Requirements:
- Valid Heavy Duty License with at least 3 years of experience.
- Valid Police Certificate of Character.
- CXC English and Mathematics are required.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
