The Treasury Analyst is responsible for providing supervision and overall administration of the Treasury Operations in accordance with the Company’s standard operating procedures and in a manner consistent with the objectives of the Company.
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting
Verify and reconcile daily treasury holdings reports for customers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Distribute accurate treasury related reports to clients in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on all Treasury-related matters, addressing queries and providing timely resolutions in line with SLA commitments.
Generate and share billing reports in accordance with client servicing teams.
Conduct verification and facilitate the movements of cash orders to between branches.
Oversee the timely replenishment of ATM cash holdings to ensure uninterrupted service.
Vault Management
Oversee custody operations including receiving, verifying, sorting, and packaging of cash for Financial Institutions and customer deposits.
Ensure strict adherence to security protocols for the handling, storage, and movement of cash and other valuables.
Conduct daily vault audits and coordinate internal control checks to safeguard assets and identify discrepancies.
Prepare and submit daily vault verification reports by end of day.
Leadership Obligations
Lead and guide the Treasury Reporting and Inventory team in day-to-day operations.
Support the probation and contract break preparation and review processes.
Support a positive, productive work environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
Ensure that all team members under your charge adhere to all company guidelines, operational procedures and the dress code.
Document and report all incidents and/ or contradictions for further discussions/ resolutions with your immediate Manager.
Supervise daily attendance, timekeeping, and scheduling of all treasury staff, including breaks, rotations, and shift handovers.
Track staff productivity, error rates, and escalation handling to ensure accountability and performance standards.
Ensuring that all Performance Appraisal Reports for the persons under your charge are completed by the designed deadline dates. The appraisals for your direct reports must be submitted to your Manager and/ or Human Resources for review prior to discussing them with the staff. The appraisals must be submitted to you for review with your immediate Supervisor before discussing them with the subordinate.
Have regular meetings/ training/ coaching sessions with your team to ensure that all operational changes/ issues are communicated in a timely manner.
Working Environment/Conditions
Normal working days are Mondays to Fridays as per assignment.
Sundays and Saturdays will from time to time be designated as normal workdays based on the needs of the business.
Due to exigencies of the job, the incumbent may be required to work on Public Holidays, outside of normal operating hours or on his/ her day off.
May be required to handle and lift large volumes of cash.
Please note that ANY OTHER DUTIES CAN BE ASSIGNED by the Vice President - Treasury or his/ her designated.
Qualification & Experience
An associate degree in accounting, business, management, or finance is required with a minimum of 3-4 years' experience in supervisory capacity.
Experience in monitoring a cash holding with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Intermediate computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting packages.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.
