TRAVEL SPECIALIST

(Permanent)

LOCATION: Pt. Lisas

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum of five (5) CXC O’Level passes, including Mathematics and English
  • Diploma in Business Management or a related field
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in international travel coordination or customer service
  • IATA certification/license (an asset)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with travel booking systems (e.g., Amadeus GDS)
  • Knowledge of international travel regulations (visa, insurance, passport)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and results-oriented
  • Skilled negotiator with the ability to secure competitive rates
  • Technically savvy and quick to learn new software
  • Capable of working independently and across departments/time zones
  • Discreet and confidential in handling sensitive information
  • Adaptable and responsive to travel disruptions or last-minute changes

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Ensure all travel arrangements comply with company policies and statutory requirements
  • Coordinate business travel logistics including flights, accommodation, ground transport, and itineraries
  • Source and offer cost-effective travel options in line with budgets and policies
  • Negotiate with travel vendors to secure competitive corporate rates
  • Provide 24/7 support to travelers for changes, cancellations, or disruptions
  • Ensure all travel complies with visa, insurance, and entry requirements
  • Assist with budget monitoring, expense reconciliation, and financial documentation
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Generate travel-related reports as needed
  • Support the global travel team with administrative travel tasks
  • Perform other related duties as required
