Trade Marketing Coordinator

Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Trade Marketing Coordinator to lead the merchandising and execution of retail marketing initiatives within our distribution network. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee best-in-class merchandising standards across all retail channels (supermarkets, wholesale, convenience stores, etc.).

  • Lead, train, and evaluate the merchandising team to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and execution excellence.

  • Design and enforce planograms, ensuring optimal shelf placement, product adjacencies, and maximum brand visibility.

  • Manage the distribution and in-store implementation for Point of Sale Material (POSM).

  • Conduct regular field visits alongside the sales and merchandising teams to audit retail execution, gather market intelligence, and identify growth opportunities.

  • Provide actionable insights to the core Marketing team regarding competitor activities, pricing dynamics, and retail trends.

  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for trade initiatives and merchandising effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related commercial field.

  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Trade Marketing, Customer Marketing, or Sales within the FMCG, Distribution, or Retail sector.

  • Demonstrated experience managing field merchandisers and a strong understanding of retail environments, category management, and planogram execution.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel and PowerPoint). Experience with retail execution software or CRM tools is highly preferred.

  • Strong people management skills with a proven track record of motivating and developing field teams.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
