Trade Marketing Coordinator
Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Trade Marketing Coordinator to lead the merchandising and execution of retail marketing initiatives within our distribution network.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and oversee best-in-class merchandising standards across all retail channels (supermarkets, wholesale, convenience stores, etc.).
Lead, train, and evaluate the merchandising team to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and execution excellence.
Design and enforce planograms, ensuring optimal shelf placement, product adjacencies, and maximum brand visibility.
Manage the distribution and in-store implementation for Point of Sale Material (POSM).
Conduct regular field visits alongside the sales and merchandising teams to audit retail execution, gather market intelligence, and identify growth opportunities.
Provide actionable insights to the core Marketing team regarding competitor activities, pricing dynamics, and retail trends.
Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for trade initiatives and merchandising effectiveness.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related commercial field.
A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Trade Marketing, Customer Marketing, or Sales within the FMCG, Distribution, or Retail sector.
Demonstrated experience managing field merchandisers and a strong understanding of retail environments, category management, and planogram execution.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel and PowerPoint). Experience with retail execution software or CRM tools is highly preferred.
Ability to translate data and market trends into actionable trade strategies.
Strong people management skills with a proven track record of motivating and developing field teams.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
A high degree of adaptability to navigate the fast-paced nature of distribution and retail execution.
