Tour Guide (Negril Location)

The Tour Guide is responsible for leading and educating groups of tourists on sightseeing trips, historical sites, cultural landmarks, and other points of interest. They provide engaging, informative, and entertaining commentary while ensuring the safety and satisfaction of guests.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Guiding & Interpretation:

• Conduct guided tours in an engaging and professional manner.
• Provide accurate historical, cultural, and geographical information.
• Adapt commentary to suit different audiences (e.g., families, students, seniors).

2. Customer Service:

• Welcome and assist tourists, answering questions and addressing concerns.
• Ensure a positive experience by being friendly, approachable, and patient.
• Handle complaints or issues professionally and escalate if necessary.

3. Knowledge & Research:

• Stay updated on local history, attractions, and events.
• Continuously improve tour content with new facts and storytelling techniques.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Certification in Tourism/Hospitality or related field (preferred).
• First Aid/CPR certification (a plus).

Experience:

• Previous experience as a tour guide or in customer service (preferred).
• Knowledge of local attractions, history, and culture.

• Excellent verbal communication and public speaking skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
