Tobago Hospitality & Tourism Institute

THTI is a Tobago based tertiary educational institution which provides the Tobago community with: 

1. The opportunity to pursue an accredited and regionally competitive Associate

Degree in Hospitality and Tourism

1. Training for skilled labour for the Tourism industry
2. Exposure to other training and development programmes in Hospitality and

Tourism, including-Baking and Pastry Arts, Tour Guiding, Protocol Training,

Bartending, Housekeeping, Dining Etiquette, and Customer Service 

The Institute is registered under the Companies Act, Chapter 81:01 as a private company and operates and acts under the aegis of the Division of Tourism and Transportation, Tobago House of Assembly. The Division provides the Institute with its annually allocated funding, policy direction and other oversight on behalf of the House of Assembly. 

THTI must always ensure that there is a synergy in its policy perspectives. Its strategy must recognise the policy of the Tobago House of Assembly. It must fulfil its own strategic mandate to provide educational programmes in the area of tourism and hospitality. It must also consider the needs of the stakeholders in the tourism industry. The general needs for skills based training in Tobago must also be observed.
