We are looking for qualified candidates to form part of our temporary pool in the role of Safety Coordinator.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Industrial Hygiene from a recognized tertiary institution or a Degree in Engineering with certificates in Health and Safety from a recognized tertiary institution.
• At least Five (5) years’ experience in the Health and Safety field within an industrial environment.
• Certification in NEBOSH level 6 would be an asset.
• A Master’s degree in Health and Safety will be an asset.
• Good overall understanding of ISO 45001 and the elements of a Safety Management System.
• Able to develop and implement procedures that support the elements of the Safety Management System.
• Able to develop training material and deliver safety training to the organization.
• Very Good understanding and experience in Emergency Response, Event Investigation, Behavioral Safety, Risk Management, and auditing.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Competency in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Must possess the necessary original documentation to legally work in Trinidad & Tobago.
