Our client is an established offshore accounting services provider who service several international clients. Due to growth, they are seeking to recruit a temporary professional in Barbados to assist with accounting support and the review, organization, and standardization of business records

Duration: 3–6 months

Overview: Our client is an established offshore accounting services provider who service several international clients.  Due to growth, they are seeking to recruit a temporary professional in Barbados to assist with accounting support and the review, organization, and standardization of business records across server‑based, cloud, and physical storage systems. The role will focus on tidying existing records, improving file structure and naming conventions, and supporting ongoing accounting activities.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide accounting and bookkeeping support, including record review and basic reconciliations.
  • Review, organize, and standardize existing records stored on:

o   Internal servers

o   Cloud platforms

o   Physical filing systems

  • Tidy up file structures, locations, and naming conventions to improve accessibility and consistency.
  • Identify duplicate, outdated, or misfiled records and flag appropriately.
  • Support preparation and organization of documents for management, audit, or compliance purposes.
  • Assist with basic improvements to record‑keeping and document management processes.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance support.
  • Strong organizational and records management skills.
  • High level of computer literacy, including:

o   Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

o   Windows operating systems

o   Cloud storage and document management tools

  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

 

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience working with legacy or poorly organized records.
  • Familiarity with accounting software.
  • Professional, discreet, and reliable.
