Telephone Operator

Promptly and courteously answering and routing calls as required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide prompt and courteous service to all callers regardless of incoming callers disposition
• 
  Answering and forwarding telephone calls in a timely manner with efficiency and professionalism
• 
  Assist in training new telephone operators
• 
  Answer all incoming calls and route to appropriate department or individual
• 
  Notify appropriate personnel and provide customer follow-up and feedback in a timely manner where necessary
• 
  Log and report suspicious, nuisance or hostile calls to Supervisor/Manager
• 
  Maintain a record of interruptions in performance and promptly report same to Supervisor/Manager

• Knowledge of using a computer and PBX systems;
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;

• The ability to build effective collaborative relationships with a customer focus mindset.

Education and Experience:

• Five CSEC/CXC subjects inclusive of English Language;
• At least two years of related experience required;
• A certificate in Customer Service would be an asset.
