Responsible for tracking and reporting alarm installation and repair activities and interfacing with customers, technicians, and other department staff. The job involves updating and maintaining information on computer systems and archives.
JOB SUMMARY
The Technical Support reports to the Supervisor, Security Installation and Repair and is responsible for tracking and reporting alarm installation and repair activities and interfacing with customers, technicians, and other department staff. The job involves updating and maintaining information on computer systems and archives. The job holder must ensure that information on all systems is accurate, up to date and useable.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Contacts customers to schedule appointments for alarm installation and repair within established Service Level Agreements
Assigns alarm installation contractors and/or repair technicians to installation and/or repair jobs based on both technician and internal resources availability.
Monitors alarm installations and/or repairs in progress and provide necessary information and feedback to technicians and customers.
Informs personnel and logistical problems and handle questions and complaints as they arise.
Records and maintains data related to the day’s work.
Processes and enters customer account information on Ericsson Order Care (EOC), Streamline, Security Information System (SIS), Dice Matrix, Fusion Pro, Redknee, EMS, IMS and shared google documents in accordance with established codes and standards ensuring accuracy and consistency of data.
Respondsto group emails within 48 hours.
Checks completed work for errors, omissions, or duplicate data before submitting the final product.
Prepares and compiles reports as specified by the Security Install and Repair Support Lead and/or Manager.
Provides a variety of clerical and administrative support as required.
Delivers on any other special projects and assignment by the business as required.
Performs any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager/ Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of five (5) CXC/GCE O’ Level passes including Mathematics and English Language
At least two (2) years of industry experience in a similar role with working knowledge of alarm systems installation and troubleshooting
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong performance orientation
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with an excellent ability to work under strict deadlines and to adapt to priorities that change often.
Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and use complex documents and forms.
Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints from customers.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees and customers.
