Job Title: Test Lead

Role Purpose:

The Test Lead is responsible for leading the testing strategy, planning, and execution for software projects. This role ensures high-quality deliverables by coordinating testing activities, managing the QA team, and implementing best practices in testing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee the test strategy and test plans for projects
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate the QA/testing team to ensure timely and high-quality testing deliverables
• Manage and prioritize test execution, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and development teams to define testing requirements and scope
• Review and approve test cases, scripts, and documentation
• Monitor test progress, track defects, and report on testing metrics and quality status
• Ensure adherence to testing standards, processes, and best practices
• Identify process improvements to enhance test efficiency and coverage

Required Experience & Skills:

• 7+ years of experience in software testing, with leadership or managerial experience
• Strong experience in test planning, strategy, and execution
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and QA processes
• Experience leading and mentoring QA/testing teams
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred (Nice to Have):

• Experience in test automation strategy and integration with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Agile or DevOps development environments
• Experience in enterprise-level applications and large-scale testing projects
• Certifications such as ISTQB Test Manager or equivalent
