TEAM LEAD - WAREHOUSE - ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

JOB PURPOSE

To ensure the Stores are fully stocked with items it issues, provide supervision for the issue and receival of items for the Stores, and fuel facility, and arrange and supervise the conduct of periodic and annual Stock Count of items in the Stores.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Print and dispatch Purchase Orders (PO) for items to be collected by bearer from local suppliers where necessary, update Daily Dispatch Book with delivery and collection tasks. Advise bearer of any urgent request and ensure that all items are collected
  • Generate Daily Issues Receival Batch Report, with supporting documents for review
  • Tracks and manage fast moving and critical spares. Manage tools inventory including radios issued by the Store team, and identify and dispatch rotables to local suppliers for repair
  • Prepare the Stores for Annual and periodic stock counts
  • Review, approve and submit GRNs, invoices and delivery slips to Payables for processing. Review submission of closed invoices and Purchase Orders
  • Liaise with Procurement Unit regarding local and overseas shipment, delivery, delays, container delivery and the preparation of items to be exported
  • Ensure resolution of all discrepancies to resolution and organize local items to be returned to the supplier
  • Approve all Ultra Low Diesel Fuel delivery registration and Water Test Forms.
  • Check draw-down POs and invoices until completed and ensure updates are done in Maximo
  • Supervise the operations of the PPE Stores and the fuel delivery process to ensure adherence to all policies and procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS

  • BSc. in Management Studies, Logistics and Inventory Management or equivalent qualification.
  • Three (3) years’ working experience in materials management and warehousing with one (1) year at a supervisory level.
  • Working knowledge of the handling and storage of engineering materials, electronic equipment and dangerous goods
  • Familiarity with various types of engineering spare parts and their application, and equipment standards
  • Ability to operate industrial forklift and hand trucks to transport inventory as required
  • Problem solving and analysis, project management, time management, organizing
  • Documentation and reporting, record keeping
